Join the Vermont Global Exchange for an open members meeting, sustainability discussion and tribute to VGE co-founder Jackie McMakin on Monday, December 5. The event is from 5:30-8 p.m. in the Chittenden Bank Room at ¶¶Òõ̽̽’s Dudley H. Davis Center, 590 Main Street. Refreshments will be served.

Guest speakers include Yacouba Jacob Bogre, executive director of the Association of Africans Living in Vermont, and Chris Williams, director of the New York Office of UN-Habitat. Also speaking will be Fran Stoddard (VGE), Chris Koliba, director of the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Office of Engagement, and Asim Zia, professor of public policy and computer science in the Community Development and Applied Economics department at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ who will give a briefing on COP27 (UN Climate Conference) outcomes. 

The Vermont Global Exchange is an informal network of invited leaders of Vermont-based organizations doing major development work overseas. The Exchange members meet twice a year to explore topics of high interest, mine the wisdom of invited guests, and make strategic links with each other and other organizations. Jackie McMakin, who passed away in October at the age of 88, co-founded VGE after her retirement.
