Jeremy Shakun
Jeremy is a paleoclimatologist interested in using the geologic record of past climate to inform our understanding of future climate change. He has been working with Paul Bierman and Lee Corbett since 2010 to reconstruct the stability of the Greenland and Antarctic Ice Sheets over the past several million years from downcore records of cosmogenic nuclides in marine sediments. They have more recently been reconstructing the 3-D collapse of the southeastern Laurentide Ice Sheet by measuring
10Be dipsticks down New England mountainsides.
