Abilene came to ¶¶Òõ̽̽ from Michigan, where she worked as a clinical manager in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and inpatient acute rehabilitation. She is currently employed by ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Medical Center, where she specializes in rehabilitation and case management. Her area of expertise is neurology including stroke care and prevention, brain injury rehabilitation, and movement disorders.
