BIO

Dr. Tara Burnham is a registered nurse with a clinical background in medical-surgical nursing, infection control, and critical care nursing. She joined ¶¶Òõ̽̽’s nursing faculty in 2015, where she has fueled her passion for nursing education. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses, including Adult Health Nursing, Critical Care Nursing, and Healthcare Ethics, as well as Adult Health clinical and simulation. She maintains an active clinical practice at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Medical Center.

Dr. Burnham’s doctoral work focused on the development and integration of primary care curriculum into undergraduate nursing. She is passionate about providing students with learning opportunities to explore nursing across the care continuum. She is also interested in curriculum development and the incorporation of active learning in the classroom environment.
