Kate Moreau received her Post-baccalaureate Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science from ¶¶Òõ̽̽ and earned a master's degree in teaching from Tufts University. She is currently completing the Master of Public Health at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ with a special interest in population health and laboratory medicine. She has been a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Biomedical and Health Sciences since 2017 and the Program Director for Medical Laboratory Science since 2020. Prior to joining ¶¶Òõ̽̽, Kate worked in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ Medical Center in clinical chemistry, point-of-care and as the laboratory educator for the clinical and anatomic laboratories.
Kate teaches in the undergraduate and graduate medical laboratory science programs. Her areas of interest are workforce development, quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical education. As a clinical faculty member, she is active in the professional realm and currently serves as the CLIA Director for the Community Health Centers of Burlington, and is a laboratory consultant for primary care. Kate also currently serves on the Patient Safety Committee for the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS).
