The ALEKS Math Placement Assessment (MPA) is required for placement in Fundamentals of Calculus 1 (MATH 1212) or Calculus 1 (MATH 1234). If you have AP credit for Calculus AB or BC and would like to begin with a higher-level calculus course (any of MATH 1224, MATH 1248, MATH 1242, or MATH 2248), you should also take the MPA.
