Assistant Professor Paula Higa's film The Migrant Body has been nominated for the 2023 Pitch to Screen Film Festival! The event celebrates excellence and innovation in independent film. Her exceptional work has stood out, meeting the highest standards of excellence in filmmaking.
This year’s awards span eight categories with four nominees in each. Higa's film has been nominated in two categories: Outstanding Proof of Concept (Higa), and Excellence In Music Scoring (Owen Belton).
The Festival will feature screenings from October 12th to 16th, concluding with an awards ceremony at the renowned Dolby Theatre in the heart of Manhattan on October 20th.
