The B.A. in music offers students the opportunity to study performance, composition, theory, and technology in a liberal arts setting.
History & Literature students take advanced music theory courses, seminars on individual composers (ranging from Bach to Duke Ellington), and lectures on music from particular historical eras (Baroque, blues, 20th century). They learn advanced music theory and have a strong emphasis on private lessons and performing ensembles each semester.
