BIO

Laurie Kutner is a Library Associate Professor at ¶¶Òõ̽̽ who is integrated into the Environmental Program, working closely with Environmental Studies students and faculty to support their research, curricular, and information needs. She is also the library liaison to the Rubenstein School of the Environment and Natural Resources, Anthropology Department, Geography Department, Global and Regional Studies Program, and Honor’s College. 

As a specialist in environmental information, Professor Kutner focuses on the inherently interdisciplinary nature of environmental research. She is interested in educating about and addressing the inherent inequities in our scholarly information ecosystem on a global scale, and works in Monteverde, Costa Rica, as a Latin American vantage point from which to address these at a grassroots level. 

Professor Kutner works with graduate students in the Rubenstein School of Environment and Natural Resources, to support their research and information needs, as they progress through their graduate programs and in-depth thesis/dissertation research. She is a Gund Affiliate and additionally works with the Gund graduate student community.
