Education
The main campus greenhouse has a living plant collection of 400 individual taxa, comprising a broad-range of specimens hailing from subtropical and temperate regions around the globe. Our diverse range of plants provide a unique teaching tool enjoyed by many ¶¶Òõ̽̽ students and affiliates.
Research
Collectively, the greenhouse facilities provide over 12,000 square feet of controlled environment space for plant-related research. The campus complex currently houses research exploring insect ecology, biological invasions, plant systematics, and forest responses to climate change.
Outreach
The main campus greenhouse hosts several plant sales throughout the year that are open to both the ¶¶Òõ̽̽ campus community and the public. With the help of student interns and workers, plants are also cultivated for ongoing sales at ¶¶Òõ̽̽'s Cat Pause store in the Davis Center.
